HomeBuddi Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to HomeBuddi. By accessing or using our mobile application and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use HomeBuddi.

2. Eligibility

To use HomeBuddi, you must be at least 18 years old. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for providing accurate information during sign-up and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are accountable for all activities performed under your account.

4. Services and Platform Role

HomeBuddi is a platform that connects customers with service providers. We do not offer services ourselves and are not responsible for the quality, legality, or outcome of any service delivered by providers.

5. Payments and Transactions

All transactions between customers and providers are handled independently. HomeBuddi is not responsible for any payment disputes or failed services unless payments are made through the HomeBuddi system.

6. Disputes and Liability

HomeBuddi takes no responsibility for poor services, financial losses, damages, or disagreements that occur between customers and providers. By using the app, users agree that all transactions and engagements are done at their own risk.

7. Subscriptions and Payment (For Providers)

Providers must subscribe to access HomeBuddi's premium features, available on a monthly or yearly basis.

  • Trial Period: A 7-day free trial may be granted at HomeBuddi's discretion.
  • Subscription Lock: If renewal is not paid within 3 days of the due date, the provider's account will be locked until the subscription is renewed.
  • Non-Refundable: Subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by South African law.

8. Provider Verification and Review Monitoring

  • All users must verify their identity with a valid South African ID to comply with regulations.
  • Providers must upload valid documentation (e.g., CIPC license).
  • HomeBuddi verifies but does not endorse any provider.
  • If a provider receives consecutive poor reviews, their account may be suspended or banned, subject to internal review.

9. Code of Conduct

All users agree to use the app respectfully and legally. Any harassment, fraud, or abuse will result in immediate suspension or permanent ban from the platform.

11. Intellectual Property

All HomeBuddi branding, content, and assets are protected. No part may be copied or reproduced without explicit written permission.

We may modify these Terms periodically. Continued use of the app implies acceptance of the latest version.

All data is securely managed via Supabase, with industry-grade encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
